‘Sno Better Kinda Ride

admin | March 6, 2010

GALWAY — Even when he isn’t out riding, Jeff Kozlowski’s collection of 10 vintage snowmobiles keeps him interested in the hobby at all times of year.

The Faber Road resident has a handful of Bombardier Ski-Doo machines from the early 1960s, one with wooden skis, and his pride and joy is a series of three King Kat racing models from 1971.

Kozlowski’s basement is a mini-museum that includes a variety of accessories, paintings and memorabilia that captures a half-century of snowmobile improvements.

“I’m always looking for parts and sleds — all makes, models and years,” he said.

His enthusiasm took hold at a young age, instilled in him by his father, Robert Sr., who used to race. Now, Kozlowski is passing his love for the sport on to his own son, 8-year-old Justin.
